May 10th we have something very very special in store for you. All the way from New York, Michael Musillami!

In a career that spans more than 25 years, Michael Musillami has worked extensively as a performer, bandleader/composer and educator.

As a sideman performing with musicians such as Junior Cook, Dewey Redman, and Curtis Fuller, he became a part of the circle of musicians connected to the Hillside Club in Waterbury, Connectic…ut, including Thomas Chapin and Mario Pavone.

He has led and co-led a variety of ensembles, releasing 15 CDs as a leader and touring US, Canada and Europe with his longstanding flagship trio with bassist Joe Fonda and drummer George Schuller.

In addition to his work he is also the longtime Director of Jazz Studies at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT.

Michael will play together with the Ruud Jacobs Trio.

On tuesday the 26th our guest is the wonderful Jos Beeren!
Jos was a member of the John Clayton Big Band and did projects with Sarah Vaughan, Monty Alexander, Clark Terry. He has been a member of the Metropole Orchestra since 1988, of which a couple of projects were:
Elvis Costello, Herbie Hancock, The Brecker Brothers, Silje Nergaard, John Scofield, Ivan Lins, Paquito d’Rivera, Pat Metheny, Gino Vanelli, Mike Stern, etc. etc etc.

This tuesday we have a wonderful guest band for you called Ceora!

This young jazz band was founded by four students of the Conservatory of Maastricht in 2010. This quartet initially chose for the setting “saxophone-trumpet-bass-drums” but in 2011 they changed this setting with fellow student Jusin Min on piano. Ceora still ventures upon playing own compositions and maybe here and there a standard. Spherical improvised music supported by sturring grooves is what you may expect.

This is the first time you’ll hear Ceora in its new setting, so don’t miss it!!!!

THE MOB is a newly formed quartet from Aachen and Maastricht that plays original music stylistically ranging from pop jazz to modern jazz. The compositions of the four musicians leave a lot of space for improvisation and the expression of their eclectic tastes and experiences, so each time the pieces might take a different direction. That’s why their music is best heard live.
